EBACE 2010 Impressions!

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

Well I am back at the day job, not that I don’t enjoy it, I do, but what were my impressions of the tenth EBACE in Geneva? Obviously having been to one before I am perfectly qualified to comment! I went out for two days this year to understand the market better, to have longer to discus with those on the stands and booths the challenges we all face and how we might be able to help them meet those challenges.   • Operations – this includes training of flight deck and flight attendants, the establishment and oversight of ground operations, flight planning and ramp support;
  • Airworthiness – the ongoing airworthiness management of the aircraft, maintenance when required, technical data assessed when necessary and the correct accomplishment of maintenance.

There is an intimacy at the show, not the usual hordes of noisy people possibly, that encourages discussion, I felt able to fully explore the issues on the table without the pressure of a thousand eyes wanting me to finish and let somebody else have a go!
